Expatriate Security Scheme (PEARL) in association with Kudumbasree - Norka Roots.

The government has set up the Pravasi Bhadra Security Scheme as a small solution to the crisis created by the Kovid 19 pandemic by providing interest-free loans and other support assistance to expatriates who have lost their jobs and returned to start enterprises. Pravasi Entrepreneurship Augmentation and Reformation of Livelihoods (PEARL) is being implemented by Kudumbasree in association with Norka Routes. The Chief Minister inaugurated the Pravasi Bhadratha (PEARL) project on 26/08/2021. An order has been received to provide 30 crore to Norka Roots Kudumbasree for the implementation of Pravasi Bhadratha scheme. Kudumbasree will provide interest-free loans and other financial assistance to returnees who have lost their jobs in this scheme to start enterprises. The selected beneficiaries will be given a maximum of Rs. 2 lakhs per person or 75% of the total project cost of the project, whichever is less. Expatriates who have lost their jobs must be family members of the Kudumbasree Neighborhood Group. Must be a person who has lived in exile for at least two years. The scheme will enable those who have lost their jobs due to Covid to return from exile and have already started their own ventures to expand their ventures. The families of the expatriates who died due to Covid can also benefit from this scheme. Family members of unemployed expatriate patients can also apply for this scheme. The application form is available on the Kudumbasree website.
