State permit for autorickshaws

The Transport Authority has extended the permit for auto rickshaws, allowing them to operate across the entire state. Previously, the permit for auto rickshaws was restricted to operate within the district.

Auto rickshaws must be registered with state permits to avail themselves of these new exemptions. The permit system will be changed to autorickshaw in the state.

Until now, auto rickshaws were allowed to travel only 20 km beyond the district border. The permits were regulated to mitigate the risks associated with long-distance services for auto rickshaws.
